Help & support

Frequently asked questions.

Find answers about sharing a journal, choosing between Friends and a Partner, subscriptions, and invitations.

What's the difference between Friends and a Partner?

Friends are people you may be travelling with for a particular entry or trip. Add them when you want to collaborate on selected memories.

A Partner shares your ongoing journal with you. Choose this option when two people want to view and maintain the same journal together.

Do both partners need Jorial Pro?

No. Only one person needs an active Pro subscription. The person with Pro must send the Partner invitation.

What can the partner using Jorial Free do?

A partner using Jorial Free can view and edit shared entries. They can also create entries with up to two photos.

Pro features remain limited to the subscribed account. These include adding more than two photos, uploading videos, and using Journeys. If both partners need to create or edit content using Pro features, both will need Pro.

Why can't my partner accept the invitation or see our shared journal?

First, make sure you invited the email address connected to their Jorial account. This may differ from the address they normally use.

On iPhone, someone who selected Sign in with Apple and Hide My Email may have a private address ending in @privaterelay.appleid.com. An invitation sent to their usual email address will not reach that Jorial account.

How do I find the email address used by Sign in with Apple?

On the iPhone, open:

Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple → Jorial

You'll see the email address associated with the Jorial account.

Still having trouble?

Send an error report from inside Jorial and include a short message. This lets support identify the account address and investigate the invitation.
